Skins: And Forward

Smallville remains - for a number of reasons - my favourite TV Show.
But Skins is the best you will ever see.
If that makes sense.
------
It's always great to see familiar faces on your screen so while waiting for Series 3 to air, I've been checking out what the talented young actors have done for themselves.
Most surprising of all, Dev Patel (Anwar) has earned fame in this year's Slumdog Millionaire.
Nicholas Hoult (Tony) is recognisable long before Skins for About A Boy and is now on the cast listing for next year's A Single Man with Colin Firth and Julianne Moore.
In June April Pearson (Michelle) will star alongside Alex Pettyfer in sidedish teen-horror Tormented.
Joseph Dempsie (Chris) is one of the most fantastic characters in Skins thanks to his amazing acting, which makes it even more dissapointing that he doesn't seem to be doing anything in the near future.

And finally the grin shall return when Kaya Scodelario (Effy) rides the lightning on Series 3 . . . and in a rockin-cool move she will premiere on the big screen in Moon (2009) with Kevin Spacey.

---------------

He wrote as the last line: ‘I don’t want this to influence your life in anyway, our decisions are separate.’

Everyone talked about it, except for the girl it was addressed to, they said it was as good as inviting her to take her own life also.

The rest of the note was uncommon in its category, it stated that he wasn’t dissatisfied . . . or unhappy with his parents . . . he wanted people to know above all that it wasn’t for any describable reason, and that maybe one day he’d find the words to explain.

His father was the one that found him.

Lying on the floor, head against the bathtub.

Two perfect circles of blood surrounding either hand and seeping into the lavender mat his mother had bought last Christmas.

Decemberunderground (The Pill Casserole)

Seasons greetings and blah blah blah.
The whole christmassy feeling hasn't arrived just yet, but I'm sure it's in the post.

Anyway, as you know, I rarely talk about the things happening around me so that goes for Christmas too.
What I've been all bouncy about recently is the amazing bulk of young talent that has the world ready to lay down before them:

Not forgetting Gabe Nevins.
And also not forgetting those we hate, like Princess Shia Lebouf.

'Good Things Come To Those Who Wait' is the most horrible phrase.
Why must I wait? . . .
----------
And I know this post is already overflowing with excitement but there's only one thing I hate more than:

And that is:

Can't say I wasn't disappointed in Catherine Hardwicke.
And further more if Kristen Stewart leaves Michael Angarano for wannabe sparkle-vampire Robert Pattison the world will never cease to hear from me.

Going Away Party - 6th of December

Me and Mercedes

James Bond theme as you can tell from looking at me.
It's hard to find a picture of me where I'm not chain-smoking and actually look human.
So enjoy. ^^

Riight . . .

So this new album that Billie Joe has been discussing is clearly a myth.
We all know they're gonna sit on their asses and live off the success of the undeniably fabulous American Idiot.

My New Board

So one day I'll get this done.
More likely a similar design but not made in 10 minutes.
But I'm still very much in love with it.
I've only ever had 2 skateboards since I started . . . . hmm [ :( ]

December 22, 2012 by tfavretto:

All I can think about is getting to England.
Which has been quite apparent in my deviantART Journals recently.
But 10 days is a long time to wait.
Yes I shall kiss the ground again as I land in the best country this universe. (You people never comment so don't even think about it)

I made this fabulous playlist to be the soundtrack for my journey there:

1: Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve
2: Seasons of Love from RENT
3: The Last High by The Dandy Warhols
4: Snow [Hey Oh] by RHCP
5: This Picture by Placebo
6: Karma Police by Radiohead
7: Anthems by Broken Social Scene
8: Don't Forget Me by RHCP

9: Every You & Every Me by Placebo
10: Wish You Were Here by Ryan Adams
11: Otherside by RHCP
12: Pot Kettle Black by Tilly & The Wall
13: Jesus of Suburbia by Green Day
14: Teenagers by My Chemical Romance
15: Where Is My Mind by The Pixies
16: Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus
17: Movies by Alien Ant Farm
18: In Bloom by Nirvana
19: Smile Like You Mean It by The Killers
20: We Used To Be Friends by The Dandy Warhols
21: Nice & Sleazy by The Stranglers
22: Kids by MGMT
23: Tire Swing by Kimya Dawson
24: Where The Stars Go Blue by Ryan Adams
25: America by Simon & Garfunkel
26: Maps by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
27: Skins Theme from Season 2
28: Time To Pretend by MGMT
---------------------

And guess what?
Jensen Ackles also hates Tom Welling . . . . :D

Like with all the shows I watch, when I watch Supernatural I just have fun hating all the characters at alternating times.
But wait . . . have I ever liked Sam Winchester . . no . . no, okay definite no.
As for his brother Dean . . he totally rawks.
He said 'fugly' . . . and he has the Metallicar!
Shame he doesn't get to look like this inside CW's deeply ridiculous addictive world:

-----------------
News Flash Kids!

I've got back on my feet as far as writing goes and hope to (I always say this, bad sign) to be finished when I'm good and ready . . .
I mean: I hope to be finished when I'm done.

I've written a ton of Misc. stuff, that's easy enough.
But this is a serious novel which I have started at different times, under different names in different 'wicked-cool' trilogies.
But I will actually finish this one.
It's called 'Missing'.

Working on something similar.
People say things online they'd never say otherwise.
------------------------
I'm moving back to England on the 10th of December which is the best thing that's happened to me in a long time.
Got all my stuff organized in about 10 minutes now just have to shove it in a backpack and a suitcase.
Yet again I will kiss the tarmac as I land in beautiful, blessed England.

I'll Have a Burger . . . Hold The Aids

So I've been goint to town with Discographys, which are the new way to live.
First I got The Dandy Warhols, all albums except for the one from May this year:

The Dandy Warhols Rule, OK? [1995]
Come Down [1997]
Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia [2000]
Welcome To The Monkey House [2003] (Freaking sweet)
The Black Album [2004]
Odditorium or Warlords of Mars [2005]

We Used To Be Friends by The Dandy Warhols

The Last High by The Dandy Warhols
-------------------------
And just to remind you people again, I really wouldn't mind being showered with cash at this point.
Wanna stop by and see Brett but God knows he could be a 2 day train ride from were I'll be in England.
To Explain who Brett Lewis is: (of course you have to watch the whole thing O_o )

Well he's like a celebrity but he's real too, he eats and sleeps.
He probably will be extremely creeped out when we harass him at the games section of the Woolworths he works at (oh yes he should be careful before posting his details on the internet :D ) but that's life.

November Going Down

My recent Blog posts have been very weak to some standards.
And that's so not my fault, nothing ever happens.
And my other option would be becoming one of the many Bloggers who post their (what they believe to be) mysteriously vague poetry and excerpts from the GN that you actually have in fact read more than three times.

And the usual reason still stands: my deviantART account, it always pushes me to spend less time contributing to this side of my life.
While I'm on that topic, - maybe I just started noticing it - these past few months all my projects have been leaning way far into the music world.
I mean that all my pictures have song lyrics to be found on the premises or are rooted concept-wise in the things that I listen to.
Anyone who's read more than one of my posts knows that the only thing that takes a bigger part in my life than music is the feeling I get when I put a pen to paper.
I'm not really sure what I'm trying to say . . . but I'm pretty sure I'm just thinking onto this keyboard.
But I would love to be able to do something that doesn't have something to do with all of Placebo's 'Without You I'm Nothing' :D .
Again forking my train of thought; why does Christmas music have to be about Christmas.
I mean to me the perfect festive line-up is:

'The Bitter End' by Placebo
'Sleeping With Ghosts' by Placebo
'Wisemen' by James Blunt
'This Year's Love' by David Gray
'Signal Fire' by Snow Patrol
'Give Me Novocaine' by Green Day
-------------------------------------
But I can't always get my way, after all Obama is president.

Comic Book Movies (Again)

Everybody knows how batshit-insane i am for comicbook flicks.
But the amount scheduled to storm in in the space of a couple years is insane:

Superman: The Man of Steel (sorry fellow Smallville fans, Tom Welling will not be taking up the torch . . tho I wonder if he has a chance of getting into the Justice League film)

Thor (no pictures available as of yet but if Brad Pitt get's the star role I don't know if there's anything bad enough that I could respond with)

Spiderman 4 & 5 (see my earlier post here 'That Jumpy Feeling' )

The Witchblade (yes Angelina Jolie could return as Tomb Raider in a possible sequel)

The Avengers (all I know is that Robert Downey Jr will be suiting up again as iron Man for this one)

Iron Man 2 ( :P )

The First Avenger: Captain America (Lord save us)

Hellboy 3 (Oh me in front line)

------------------------------
I'm sure I'm forgetting some but here is a film I hope one day will actually be created . . .

Runaways

With Gabe Nevins (Paranoid Park) as a character somewhere in there.

And if God is in a continuingly good mood maybe we'll have

The Umbrella Academy (directed by Tim Burton of course :D )

Art Art Art Art . . . & That's just The First Few Minutes

Took this after I woke up, which I think scared the neighbors because they picked all the apples directly after.
The first snow only came last night.
--------------------------------------
Drew this a long time ago but had to post it now since tonight is Devil's Night:

Devil's Night is a long-standing tradition predating World War II, with anecdotal incidents occurring as early as the 1930s. Traditionally, youths in Detroit engaged in a night of criminal behavior, these were almost exclusively petty vandalism acts, causing little to no property damage other than perhaps a damaged mailbox or eggs hardening on windows.

However, in the early 1970s a dark side of this holiday emerged and the vandalism escalated to more severe acts such as arson.

In 1994 film The Crow Set in Detroit, the film shows in flashbacks the murder of Eric Draven (Brandon Lee), and of his fiance Shelley Webster on Devil's Night.
One year later, on the same date, Eric Draven is brought back to set things right.
-----------------------
So all that to say, have a happy Devil's Night (and watch the Crow with my link above) and an even better Halloween

I always have something to say . . .
I'm so lost.

I've been doing the same thing these past few days.
This weekend I did all the music for a 4 or 5 hour party.
And now is the start of some weird Autumn holidays, so be happy.

Dissatisfaction Is The Only Thing I Could Wish For

I've got way too much to say, and I partly have my youngest sister to thank for allowing me to debate every single aspect of life with her over a bottle of Coke (see last post) .
Words are what I love, and I can't help from clinging to them, especially in my art.
Above is an example of the struggle I went through not to put lyrics somewhere in faded text, but the end result was fantastic.

I guess the only way I can show you how I feel is with this song, music does rule my life.
The words aren't as important as the way it makes you feel, like all MGMT songs:

When I listen to their music, especially 'Time To Pretend', I feel incredibly happy but I get all choked up at the same time.
They are truly masters.
